Well I was excited back in January when I ordered my Walther P99. There wasnt one in stock but that was no big deal since the dealer said 2-3 weeks. Well its almost been 4 months now and enough is enough. I went back to the store and they found one locally at another dealer. I wish I would have heard of the export problems from Germany earlier so that I could have been shooting the last 3 1/2 months instead of runnung home to check the answering maching hoping to hear ' your transfer is in, come get your gun".

It does seem that for most importers, the lead time between ordering a product and actually getting the paperwork through 2 governments and the shipping taken care of is rarely less than 3 months, and more often 6 or more.

When I ordered my STI Trojan, Sean quoted a 16 week delay, but he could have the paperwork in order by the time the gun was ready to ship. That sort of answer I can handle.
