So.... Other than ordering from brownells, hogue, or VZ in the US, where do you guys find revolver grips and 1911 stocks?

I'm looking for some nice wood for a Blackhawk as well as something in double diamonds for the 1911

...those VZ things are rather spendy, aren't they....

Worth it? Good and grippy?

My Trojan came with stocks that are both far too thin and stupid slippery for checkered grips..

And they ship to Canada.

Here's a set of their faux ivory stocks on a vintage Colt 1903 Pocket:

Cool

I have a set of the marstar ones on my. SAM, and also for my Ruger 22. Very nice and rich wood.

I don't recall if the 1911 ones have the ambi safety cut or not.

The ersatz ivory look nice. The Trojan is a sort of flat black, so it needs a lighter colour grip to set it off

VZ's are nice, but if you're limited to a budget, say $20, go for Magpul's.

I have em, they feel like sandpaper and are very thin. You easily get a better hold of the gun and not have to worry about any slippage.

They're $22 on Amazon.ca. Worth every penny.

The magpul ones are thin? I want the regular government profile ones. Big hands and all that.

Budget isn't a huge problem. I'm just not sure about paying close on $100 for a couple grip panels without seeing them first.

Remington grips on an STI gun...

Of course I could put the medallion ones on my R1 and the plain R1's on the STI. Win!

I'm also looking for grips for a 1911 but im looking for od green ones and cant seem to find them? A fellow member is selling a gun with the exact ones I'm looking for but he bought them years ago.
