I think I read something about this on the forum or I might be imagining ####.

The online form is now telling me my PAL has been mailed. I'm impatient so can I call CFC to get my number and expiration so I can order a firearm online?

Or should I stop being an impatient child haha

I did just that with my 1st restricted purchase... ordered online as soon as I knew it was approved. Got my RPAL in the mail, my pistol, my transfer notification, and my updated RPAL with ATT attached... all at the same time because I was away on a vacation for a week.

I called them and got an 8 digit number. I thought the format was ########.####? Is the last four numbers the expiry year

The .000# is just the number of times it's been renewed. Your 1st PAL will be .0001, renew it and it will become .0002, change class to an RPAL and it will go up again, buy a restricted on that RPAL and it goes up again when the ATT attaches to it. Make sense?

This is good to know. I probably should've waited to make sure I was approved (will know late Sept. at the earliest) but I already ordered two restricted firearms. So I damn well hope I get approved!

Nice knowing I can call the places I've ordered from the second I'm actually approved and get the transfer process going.
