Getting ready for hunting season.

Nice. I'm getting very excited about my first hunting season. One more chapter to go in the bc CORE manual, then it's time to challenge the exam.

I'm hoping to get out for some ducks, some grouse and perhaps a deer.
 
I'm heading out in the Jeep today to see of some local back roads have enough snow melted off them to be passable. Spring bears will be out and about fairly soon, and it's time to start scouting...
 
Shed antler hunting is really "early scouting" been doing some of that.
Shooting guns and doing reloading is also hunt prep.
Spring bear hunting, I might shoot a bear but it is partly scouting and just getting out in the bush.
Thinking and plotting and planning special licence draw applications.
I don't usually set out trail cams till late summer when the antlered game have some head bone.
 
I just got my hunting license this past weekend, after 7 years of firearm ownership. I don't know if I'm going to hunt anything this year, because, most my time is spent competitive shooting.
Buuuuut, we'll see, perhaps a DOE LEH?
