Spent the weekend in Quebec City with my wifes former boss and her husband. Turns out he is also a hunter and it goes without saying that he and I hit it off real well. We spent the weekend talking about our hunts .......... and now I just can't wait till the fall. I usually hunt groundhogs in the spring and summer but this year I've taken on some projects at home and haven't been out ........ I'm going nuts!

I've spent the last few days brushing up on my goose calling, shopping for a blind, and watching youtube clips of goose hunts... I can safely say I have it bad!

I spend the summer shooting my bow in the back yard too keep current on it...Not to mention cruising yard sales for cheap gear and decoys.

I already have my trips planned, my leave passes are approved...now all I need is Sept. 1st to come!! Bear camp in early sept, 3 day goose hunt for early season, flooded timber duck hunt end sept, the Oct. 1 archery season for deer...I'm tired already!!!

BTW anyone know a good divorce lawyer?? I think I might need one shortly...lol

I'm counting down the days for the black bear hunt. August 15th will be here before you know it. I have to get out with the 348 and try some final loads and then load up the one recipe that I've settled on. I'm just looking forward to taking my 8 year old son out for a walk on some old skidder trails and see what happens. Last year, we didn't even get to the spot and we had one in the back of the truck.

It was arranged but unfortunately my buddy from BC had to postpone until next year for personal reasons.........
