i have a chance to get a Gevarm E1 with 2 clips.It is made in France & fires from an open bolt.it is mint. Is $200 a good deal for this gun. Anyone have any experience with one like it?Is it accurate? Any problems associated with it firing from an open bolt.
I apreciate any info,replies.

I had one and sold it to my brother-in-law. Should have had my behind kicked. He also sold it so I can't get it back.
If I had a chance to buy one in reasonable condition for $200 I couldn't get the money out fast enough.
 
It seems well made & is mint,with 2 20 rd mags,i guess your answers have made my mind up.thanks, guys.What is it worth realistically?

Mint with 2 20 rounders is a rare find. I'm guessing its worth around 400 bucks.

Great gun, very reliable. The takedown models aren't very good when they are scoped though, there is always a bit of wiggle between the receiver and barrel.
 
very nice gun. My dad owned one (handed it down to my older brother) that was the very first gun i ever shot. its a beautiful gun and if you get it looking mint for 200 you're laughing. buy it!!!! I saw a couple at the calgary gun this past easter. Stupid me, I should have bought it for 175.

I'll tell you what, you can get $125.00 all day long for each of those 20 round mags. And if you could get them to the USA you could get $200.00 for each of them.
Put your rifle at around $300.00 because it is mint. FS
 
Heck I saw one guy pay $185 for 1 20rndr at a local g-show last winter!

It is almost impossible to find a beat-up almost broken E-1 for less than $100...... and that is without any mags!

$200 for what you are describing is a real bargain!

Last 20-rd original mag I sold went for $175. Have not seen an E1 sell for less than $500 down here in the last few years. You once could buy a NEW IN BOX E1 with all original papers for that.

I have saved a scan of an original 8-rd mag which sold for $206 at online auction down here in June of last year!

Prices realized for Gevarm .22rf rifles have gone crazy down here!
