Gevarm magazine doesn't lock

Hey, I recently purchased a Gevarm takedown and unfortunately the seller neglected to disclose the fact that the magazine doesn't lock into place. I've tried a couple different things but the mag continues to come out without pressing the release. It's obviously a concern and very frustrating/upsetting. Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don`t have an easy fix, but I can give you some things to check out;

1- mag catch spring- make sure you have spring tension
2- magazine empty or loaded- if loaded, try it empty and see if it makes a difference
3- try inserting the mag with the bolt open.
4- inspect the notch on the mag and make sure there is a clearly defined notch there... all mine show signs of peening and wear. Yours may be too worn to catch hold.
