Gevelot Brass - any good?

I had some unfired gevelot brass offered to me, but know nothing about the brand. Any thoughts on the brand?

My understanding is that it was actually made by Norma for Gevelot.

Depends on the cartridge, Mine is different than Norma, I think it was made by another Swedish firm, Metalvirken. Good brass.

What bullet(s) are you loading for 8x57? I've had good luck with the PRVI 196SP with pretty good accuracy (Yugo48 with scout scope).

Excellent brass. I use it in the 264.

It is excellent brass--but is heavier than most--if you are going to use a load in it that was established in different make of brass it is wise to back off and work up if it was a max load.

I shot mostly cast LEE, but do use some pulled from dud and corroded Yugo/Czech milsurp. Starting to use powder coated LEE now.

I used Gevelot brass in 308 and 30-06 and probably others years ago. Heavy brass, similar to Imperial or Dominion. Good brass.

Thick tough brass. I use it to reload my friend's BAR MKII in .30-06 that beats and extracts cases with fury. Lesser brass gets dented on the edge of the case head

Haven't really tried either yet. I did load some light loads and shot them indoors, all w/o checks. Heavier loads I'll probably use checks.

I have been using it in my 7x57 for years, same batch no problem and have a bag of 7mm mag that i haven't got yet (too much brass) no problems
