can anyone give some advice for fitting the gg&g M4 sling loop to an m4 with the telescoping stock?
it fits in place but i can't get the pistol grip threads to bite to screw the grip back on.
i know it can be done, but I'm obviously missing the trick..

this is the piece I'm talking about.

See Link. They are not designed for collapsible stocks.

Found this on the Benelli USA forum.

"OK GG&G told me that it is not meant to work in conjunction with the factory collapsible stock. They said that some customers have had luck with it fitting because the new design is thinner than previous. I am assuming that has something to do with how the threads are placed in the pistol grip. Mine how ever does not fully collapse and therefore is not 100% will be sending both pieces back.

It does however look like it would collapse fully if i were to remove some material from the grip, making the notch a bit larger, giving it the extra room that was taken away by the approx 2.5mm thick sling loop. I refuse to modify my my $2000 gun to make a $35 piece work. I guess I will be looking into the Mesa Tactical mount, which I originally did not want to to its proximity to my firing grip."

So I guess you can take a Dremel to your M4 to make it fit.......

That issue isn't getting it to fit in front of the pistol grip. His issue is his stock won't collapse to fully closed.

The USA collapsible stock is different to the ones here in Canada.

My issue is getting the pistol grip back on with the sling piece.

I could undo the recoil tube and back it out a turn which would then give me thread for the pistol grip to bite onto. But I'm not sure if that will cause any problems with the recoil assembly?
