I took my Mossberg 590 out last weekend and I guess the blade apperature in the front part of the ghost ring was loose, because I lost the actual blade. The front sight is still embedded in the barrell, I'm simply missing the aiming post with the orange strip.
A gunsmith tells me I need to ship the barrell out to him (in Ontario) as he's authorized for Mossberg warranty. I'm wondering though, since this piece was clearly designed to be end-user replace (it slides into a notch), can I just contact Mossberg to get a replacement?
