Ghost Ring sight options

Hello I am shopping for ghost ring sights for a 14" barrel.
Can a banded front sight be trusted for durability? Is silver solder reliable? What options do I have to install sights without spending a fortune?

A banded front sight is a quick and easy way to add a front sight. Their one down side is they rely on clamping action to keep them in place, knock it hard enough and it will move, throwing off your zero. I do believe that their is at least one made for 14" barrels that fits in around the barrel lug, making it less likely to move if knocked around.

Silver solder is the most secure method I can think of. It's the method used by manufacturers. Certainly more reliable than epoxy.
