ghost ring sights for a 45/70

what are good ghost ring sights for a 45/70.

i got a marling gs thats currently scoped with a bushnells 10-3.5 3500 elite sieres scope and its just overkill. plus im sick of getting scoped by the dam thing.

also i might be talked into a trade of said scope for some good sights

Williams FP sights.

Call Williams up and they'll send them right to you...no prob having them shipped to Canada either. You can also get a set that includes a firesight front bead.
I have those and a Leupold 2.5x28 IER scope with QR rings and a scout rail. No need to worry about getting scoped at all.

The rail? I walked into Reliable one day and it was up on the wall behind the counter so I grabbed it.

I installed Warne 2 piece scope bases that I pop a 2-7X Leupold Compact on and off with Leupold quick dettachable scope rings.

When I remove the scope and want to use iron sights I install my XS Sights Low Weaver Backup ghost ring rear sight onto the rear scope base http://xssights.com/store/rifle.html I find this set up gives me the best of both world.

"...getting scoped..." As in Weatherby eye brow? Smacked in the head. The scope is too close to your eye.
"...bushnells 10-3.5 3500 elite..." 3.5 X to 10X? You're right. 10 x is too much magnification for a .45-70. The Bushnell 3200 Elite 1.5X to 4.5X x 32 is plenty. A ghost ring sight would do too, but not so much at dawn and dusk.

also i allready moved it to max eye relief.

and ive been shooting the old irons p14 ive come to prefer it over scopes.
i keep losing eye picture after every shot with the scopes.
i want to work my way out of the flinch of death and then go back to scope.
(would not mind losing some weight off the sucker too!)

the scope came with the gun at a smoking price reconditioned, only 90$ flat!
i got the gun cheaper too lol, it was missing the rear sight elevator. they gave it to a gent who ordered the same gun but lost his sight "in the mail" lol so it was only 600 flat brand new.

Since no one has said it yet, I really like my Skinner's rear sight with a Williams Firesight front. Works really well with the small aperture, or unthread the insert and VOILA a ghost ring. Worth a look.
