Hi folks, looking at picking up one of these for my Shadow 2. Is the Race Master worth the $100. over the Ghost? I've read that the Ghost is a little sloppy with the Shadow 2. Anyone care to share their experiences?

No idea on the DAA.
I have the Ghost "the one" for a regular Shadow, I had a Ultimate Ghost for another platform before that as well.
My GTO had a burr where the pin is in the lock assembly but once removed it's very slick,
I definitely like the muzzle protection on the GTO more than the Ultimate.

I have ran Ghost Ultimate for CZ Shadow and 1911
Ran ghost the one on a 1911 and an SV 2011

Friend at a club ran DAA on CZ shadow1 then on a SV 2011.

We both came to the same conclusion, and are now both using ghost the one.
Having that rubber nipple going in the barrel muzzle really adds stability
Even if ghost ultimate would not unlock, i could feel gun rocking in it and would add a feeling of insecurity

Beware of the DAA magnetic insert block for the Shadow 2. Received mine last week and the tolerances of it are so out of whack it is unusable. Can barely get the gun in the holster and getting it out is impossible.
All my other insert blocks (also magnetic) work flawlessly.
Either mine is a one off, or they really screwed the pouch on this one.

Humm, my buddy recently picked up the DAA RM from Tenda which I think only lists being magnetic on their site. He started his BB course last weekend and was raving about his holster. He mentioned that a number of other students were running GTOs and a few of them were having problems. Not sure if they were fumbling with the lock or what. I haven't had time to meet up to check out his holster. Ack, now this is making it even more harder to decide. First world problems eh? lol

That's the problem right there, students using race holsters.
I have been a helping hand for a few BB in the past, and every single time a gun would drop on concrete, it was some race holster (ghost, cr speed, daa...) with someone that has zero experience using it.

You can get the support arm the RM but that is an additional cost. But just having to buy inserts to fit a new gun is a benefit.

No slop or play in mine.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I popped into Tenda today to check them out in person. The guy behind the counter was super helpful. I ended up with the Race Master. I had a $250 visa GC from work (thought it was only $150 so that was a nice surprise!) so I treated myself to it. Just itching to get home tonight to try it out.

The One was designed for the old Shadow. Do not get it for the 2. Myself and 2 shooting buddies have The One and Shadow 2s and we had to put shims in due to the difference in the trigger guards

Initially bought the CZ Ghost One for my CZ Shadow. Works great and I love it! Shadow fits like a glove in it with with 'no slop'/play. But discoverd my Shadow 2 didn't fit in it due to the squared shaped trigger guard. So ended up buying the Tanfoglio Ghost One holster for the Shadow 2 as the 2 guns have pretty well the same trigger guard profile. Shadow 2 works very well in it, but there is a tiny bit of play with the gun in the holster. No biggie though and otherwise pistol draws, locks and functions perfectly from the Tanfo The One holster.

Also tried out the CR Speed wsm2 holster for my Shadow 2. Holster was okay but liked The One better so sold the CR Speed. Never tried the DAA as I like the muzzle support The One and CR Speed offer.

Well, I ended up with the DA RM and so far I'm not regretting spending the extra $$. I did loctite the screws 'cause I found that they loosened pretty easily when I was adjusting the fit.

As for muzzle support, is it beneficial or just extra dead weight? Anyone running one on their Race Masters?
