I have a couple of questions for the USGI M14 parts experts. I have the oportunity to buy a bolt and op-rod. Neither has a manufacturers name like HNR or TRW, just numbers. the bolt is marked,
7790185
66118
X

the op rod is marked,
7267064
66118
below that is a small circle with what looks like an eagle and three stars above it?? Hard to tell- its itsy bitsy

Is 66118 a manufacturer code, and the other numbers drawing #s?

I also have an oprod that appears to be USGI but is unmarked. It has the fulll auto cut out and the park looks correct. were any GI rods made unmarked?

What can anybody tell me about these parts? Thanks, Jeff

As Winz said, 66118 is the code for Winchester.

Take a very close look at your op-rod, all GI rods will be marked, if it's been re-parked there is a good chance that it will be very hard to see/read.

I would say you have a Chi-com op rod.

Some full auto M14's were made in Taiwan, and by Norinco.

I'd wager that is where your rod comes from, as even SA Inc clearly marks there rods.

Send me some close up pictures of both ends and the three inches of the tube area at the heal/middle.
