Before I start pressing these primers into the new brass and waste primers and brass thought I would ask here.

I did measure the diameter of the primers and they are slightly bigger than the Winchester LRP I have.

Lots of people have said to use the Ginex in fired cases.

Does anyone have any recent experience loading these into new brass rifle brass??

I found the diameter was no problem with PMC 308win brass. But the height on the Ginex LRP was too much and they stood proud, which caused problems closing the bolt.

I will need to measure the primer height and seating depth carefully then and compare them to the Winchester.

I have a Remlin 1895 GBL so proud primers are the last thing I need in the magazine tube flat nose lead or not.

I think I will load a dummy round and check that it cycles also before going to far. I only bought 100 Ginex as testers. I have a few sleeves of Winchester left.

Tundra supply in edmonton shows supply of 5744 if your still wanting to try it. The newer hodgdon reloading manual shows 4 powders for subsonic loads in the 45/70. Tightgroup,IMR 4064, Accurate 5744, Accurate 2495 undrr a 410grain hornady bullet.
