Personally, I think the evidence is pretty thin.
IIRC, this is the third rifle that Doc Beeman sold as "THE" L&C airgun.
But whatever. it's a pretty neat piece of gear no matter who carried it around. There are a couple different sites around that go through the making of replicas, starting with casting the receivers. There's a heck of a lot going on inside one of these that is not apparent until you really start to look.
