I feel ya...every time I hand her or show her one she just holds it and looks at me with the, well what do I do now face...AT LEAST she's agreed to buy a pink one, but that would be kinda weird to have have a pink gun under the excuse of buying it for my gf...but a gun is a gun, ANYHOO OP good on you hopefully I'll have my girl to be able to load a cartridge in a magazine someday...someday
I tried to get the wife to shoot my sks a couple months ago. She was holding it gingerly with her fingertips, slightly away from her body, like it was going to explode and kill us all or something. She fired one shot, then complained that it kicked too hard and it hurt. I said "maybe next time you'll hold it properly like I showed you, snug the stock in your shoulder and HOLD ON TO IT. Haven't got her to try again. I did manage to get her to shoot about 50 rounds out of the nylon 66 though 
My GF (now my wife) didn't shoot 4 years ago. I told her that I wouldn't be seeing her in Nov (she lived in Calgary and traveled up on weekends) because of hunting season. She didn't like that too much, t I wasn't staying home for her visits.
In Apr 08, she moved in. In Jun, I was going to the range to sight in, work up some rounds, do some plinking... you know, just a day at the range and asked her to come along with my son and me. Even took the 10-22 for her to shoot.
Set her up on the short range (50yds) and went to work on my stuff.
My son was sighting in a load we had worked up previously in his .303 #1. I was working up a hunting load for my SKS and had another along for plinking. I was also shooting 50 or so rounds in my .303 LEC for the upcoming hunting season.
So, she walks over to us, says she is bored, has fired off 4-5 mags and wants to watch us. After a bit, she says she wants to shoot the SKS. So I let her. Dang!! Lost that SKS right there. She hunted with it that Nov and bagged a nice doe. I still am not allowed to call it "my SKS" even though she has her own .243 Savage 111 now...

At my age...........a pic of another crate of 7.62x39 is a of no interest...........but another gun babe.................................that's a different story.LOL....................
