girsanregard parts interchangeable with beretta 92fs?

I've been thinking about getting a 92fs for awhile and came across the turkish clone. I'm wondering do they share anything other than looks any info would be appreciated.

Good person to ask is Clobbersaurus. I think he did a thread between the Girsan and Beretta a while ago. I’d pick him as the resident Beretta 92 expert.

I have both, I had issues when I tried to use Beretta mags in the Girsan (they're not identical). What parts are curious about?

more so parts that would break / wear out sooner than later. extractor, extractor spring, recoil spring, stuff along those lines on another note I'm surprised you had problems with beretta mags in the Girsan i thought thats the whole point of making a clone

pretty sure recoil spring will fit, I think locking block will too. not sure about extractor but springs should fit.

That's odd, my Girsan came with Mec-Gar M9 mag's which are for the 92FS.

Do the Girsan mags work in the Beretta?

I have 7 Mec gar 92fs and two m9 ones along with two girsan branded Mec gars. They all look and feel identical. All run the girsan flawless.

I believe the mag catch/release is slightly different, so the position of the notch in beretta mags is not the same as the girsan mags.

I've had a Girsan since they were first released - I've never had any issues with it. Well made pistol for the price.

Mine as well. Other than that the Girsan has been excellent. They are quality guns for the price.
