I imagine you guys have a number of projects on the go, but in the event there was an appetite to consider customer requests, I’m wondering if there’s a business case to make a “glass breaker” or “bayonet spike” accessory for your +1/2/3 mag tube extensions?

This would be something sort of like the one M*CARBO makes for the Keltec KSG (pic below), or some other companies make (I think for mossberg only), but for your mag tube extensions, and therefore various models of firearms. If someone were to get trapped inside their vehicle while on the way to the range, they can escape by breaking the glass… there are many other potential uses too.

The S&J +1 mag tube I got a few years ago has a small hole which I don’t think is threaded, but could presumably pass a threaded end thru, either from the accessory to a low-profile nut placed inside the mag tube, or vice-versa. The glass breaker or bayonet spike itself wouldn’t need to be that long, since the mag tube extensions are usually run to about the same length as the barrel.

I’ve sometimes thought about trying to bubba something together by using the sling plate that came with the +1 as a base, or over-boring the hole on my +1 and trying to fit the Keltec, but would rather have a clean/professional look and support Canadian manufacturing businesses to the extent possible.

Thanks for your consideration, and sorry for the late night random post.

It is sonthing I have been asked for an the past.
I think the lat time I looked at it , I just toll and arrow tip and put the threaded part into the hole and put a nut on it.
But that was probably 15 years ago

Thanks for the reply and info. I may see if I can rig something like that together in the interim, but would also be interested in an “official” product if it made sense from a business case standpoint.

Yep I can look at that aww what it's going to cost
Cool, if it makes sense I’d definitely be interested, hopefully some others are too in order to justify it.

If going for the “glass breaker” style it could even be something quite short, like a shortened end of those rifle blast deflector with glass breaker carbide tips, but scaled down and setup to thread on the +1/2/3 mag tube extension.

In my case I only have 1-2cm extra length to play with for storage or it’d be too long, so a short hardened steel “bayonet spike” could work as well (also as glass breaker), but I think I’ve already ruled out the arrow-tip idea due to the length. Obviously you have to do what makes sense from a business standpoint.

I’ll keep an eye on the forum and newsletter emails to see what’s happening.
