3x9 is more than enough on a 22. i love my vortex diamondbacks. also nikon p22 2x7 is great with resetable turrets for different ammo.

Bushy Elite 4-16 x40 should fit the criteria. Close focus, great glass. 4-12 AO Diamondback would also be a good choice. Lower X scopes and precision don't go together well.

Nikon Prostaff 3-9 with BDC has treated me very well. The BDC is actually pretty useful in 22lr when shooting ~100 yds

I put a Weaver Classic V-16 on my FVSR. Sits perfect in a DNZ mount, very nice scope for around $300

I put a Redfield 6-18X44 on mine. Overkill for most people, but I am ONLY shooting further than 50 yards with mine (actually a TR).
First and only group I have shot at 100yrds was about 5/8" c-c, not sure I'd be that accurate with a 9X scope...
