I currently have a Barska Hot Magnum 3-12X40 mounted, and am looking for something a little higher quality, with more reach.
USE: target. currently getting nice 100yrd groups, wanting to move out to 200yrds. I shot one group at 200, but am running into the optical limitations of the Barska - too fuzzy, picks up mirage like crazy (I assume mirage will be reduced with better glass?)
FEATURES: I like the current feature set of the Barska (AO, BDC turret), but am open on options here.
I want to stay with about the same objective size, as the current mounted height is perfect. I can't go look through a bunch, as there is very little selection locally. I would also love to buy from a supporting dealer, so if you have a suggestion for a scope, please list where to get it from. Hoping to keep it under $300.
