I only own one Glock so cant really compare. Does this look normal? I havent shot it much, honestly I noticed this and it started bugging me. Gen 3 Glock 34, original Austrian made slide and aftermarket US made G17 slide. I checked firing pins to make sure its in bottom position before assembling. Looked at some threads regarding Glock slides, people are saying that recoil spring causes slide issues but this thing is almost brand new. Highly doubt springs is going soft.

If it wasn't going into battery the slide would be farther back not forward. Is your slide lock in the right way? Flat side towards the muzzle

If the pistol runs you must be in battery. If the slide is too far back it won't shoot at all, may just be the result of mix-and- matching parts from different suppliers. Keep shooting it and see if it changes

Replace XX with tt.

I have played around with ALOT of aftermarket slides and frames and have had this issues before. I could never figure out what caused it but it never affected function.
