The OEM sights are just placeholders, get a decent set of steel high(er) profile sights - I personally prefer the Heinie Ledge Straight-8 sights with the rear vial dimmed out with a sharpie. Aside from that, get a case or two of ammo and shoot that all up before you start changing things around, you might surprise yourself with how much you can accomplish with an essentially stock blaster.
