I wonder why Glock never made this model? I mean porting/compensators are cool right? Holding onto your gun during live fire is cool right? Who likes slippery tupperware? I know I don't. That's why I gotta assume Glock invented the RTF2 grip. In my opinion, that's the best grip Glock has ever made. But then Glock discontinued the RTF2 grip after a couple years. Head scratcher?! Odd right? I mean, I have so many questions and no answers. Why Glock, why?

F@€k it. Stop day dreaming! I'll make something Glock will be proud of and should've been made a long time ago. Something legal for the Canadian market that doesn't require 5 #'s & letters that we all hate so much, 106mm, something that shoots affordable ammo that's available pretty much anywhere in the world, something that doesn't require anything dual spring related, something that breathes fire through it's nostrils, something that permits easy double/triple taps on center mass that you can still hold onto and look like a boss while doing so.

I'm not financially endowed so I need something that doesn't require a cnc machine to drill those fire breathing flared nostrils that I want so bad. Something that doesn't require anybody to suddenly call me Billy Bob when my name isn't Billy Bob. So I don't own a soldering iron in this day in age, an age when everybody on YouTube, their grandmas and guys with large beards are meticulously melting these tiny suction cups called stippling onto their so called tactical tupperware, then trying to charge me $3000. Like I said, I'm not rich and the question I have for you is, DO I LOOK LIKE A SUCKA?

This I what I made for Glock.

Your welcome Glock. :)

Yup, I too love the RTF2 aggressive texture. Folks with softer hands or one who are allowed to carry concealed find it too harsh on their hands and/or clothing.

I'm down for a new line of Glocks with RTF2 texture and different colour frames. :)

How effective is the comp on a Glock? I've never shot or even seen a C model in real life.
We are talking 9mm here!
I would say a C model 20 or 21 would make more sense.

I have a 21C but I swapped to an aftermarket barrel that is not ported. I dont feel a difference ported vs non. I do miss the flames coming out of the ports though

Id like to have my aftermarket barrel ported, but I need to find a company that can do the same style port as the OEM Glock ports so they match up with the holes in the slide..Anyone know who does that in Canada?

The purpose of the comp of these Glocks is simply to keep muzzle rise to a minimum, most noticible during rapid fire like triple taps and mag dumps. More effective on higher pressure rounds like 9mm, .40 s&w, .357 sig and 10mm. Even though 9mm is the weakest of the bunch with the least perceived recoil, you will notice most or all your rounds will group significantly tighter during rapid fire with a 17C compared to a 17.

It's great fun, if you've never shot a compensated Glock, you have to try it.

Never tried the C model, but I am a fan of the RTF frame. The frame is "sticky' and does shift less in the hand than the standard 3rd gen frame. Some do find the finish abrasive, but I haven't had that experience. I also like that the finger grooves, they are smaller on the RTF fame, Aesthetically, it has a more uniform look, but that is a personal thing. And finally, the RTF lacks that groove in the front bottom of the grip (see pic) it just looks unfinished. I could live without the fish gills on the slide, I prefer the standard slide.

i have the normal 17C and my complaint is that i find the gun slippery on hot days at the range.
now im really wanting to do what you did and replace the bottom with the ruff one.

i was at the range a couple years ago and they had a 17C for sale, i asked to shoot it cause i was thinking of buying it, put one mag through it and purchased it on the spot. for some reason i really found it made a noticeable difference for me with the Glock. not sure if its because i tend to shoot fast or what but i find it way more comfortable to shoot then the normal 17 and im easily twice as accurate with my 17C then the normal 17.

plus it looks cool when your at a darker indoor range and it snorts fire out the top!
