Have you found a magic load or a specific factory load that it shoots best with? I've tried several factory loads along with several handloads, haven't found the accuracy yet that I expected from this pistol.

147 gr factory AE at 20 yards unsuported, G17L with 3.5 pounds spring and connector kit installed... JP.

How are you testing it for accuracy? i.e. supported, off-hand, clamped down, etc.
I don't handload so can't help you there but I've found factory ammo to be accurate enough for my intended use with my Glock.
I guess it comes down to what level of accuracy you're looking for.

The group on the left is with the same ammo but over the sandbags, while the other one is unsupported semi rapid fire... JP.

I figured that about the tight group but it tells me what the gun and that ammo is capable of . I haven't been able to group like that with mine and I have tried the AE 147 along with several more, it's a new gun BTW. My old eyes don't help matters any but my old Tuned Gen 2- 17 does much better. This 17L seems to have a lot of mussel whip compared to my ported barrel 17.

Did you put in the 3.5 pounds spring and connector kit, these Glocks are likes night and day with them, very sound 40.00 for performance... JP.

make sure the front sight doesn't move as well as the rear. it might move and you don't notice. which might explain the all over the place kind of loose grouping . glocks are very accurate , there's no reasons for very loose groupings excepting some kind of gremlins with the sights. also if you have troubles managing the trigger because the weight break is too heavy, it may upset the gun .

Out of the box 17L I read some where the trigger is set at 4.5 I don't think that's a problem, just need more rage time with it I guess. Am not fond of the sights, the old 17 has aftermarket target sights. Am thinking about try some sore of a Red Dot type sight but haven't researched them yet, any pointers in that direction?

On the box....ADJ 4.5 lbs I'll get the manual out and have a look if that means I can adjust it, am thinking probably not.

All I've had for ammo since getting my 17L is some surplus Ukrainian stuff (the old bricks of 750 from Canada Ammo) and it does really well, when it goes bang, my guess is that this is due to the heavier grain bullets. Perhaps 147gr...?

I could pull one apart and weight the Bullet for you.

... or an anormally heavy trigger... JP.:)

I'd confirm nothing is wrong with your new 17L first. Got anyone at your range who is also a good Glock shooter. Let him/her give yours a try. Are they accurate or do they experience the same?

How is accuracy at shorter distances? At what distance does the accuracy start to go south?
