I could not tell you, and most that try and tell you don’t actually know. The Gen1-4 Polygonal Barrel will be less accurate than the Gen 5 Marksmen Barrel based on design on rifling. Google the differences and you will see the physical examples.

Who is this person you are spamming? Because alot of airguns are polygon cut, also shoot with a guy that put 80k thru his Glock. All lead. I call BS on the lead use in polygon barrel.
i never read the post, But I have a Jericho 941 and it is a PITA with lead, mind you the bore is crap. The HK P7 uses the same rifling , but I never used lead ammo because of the gas port in the barrel. But than I never shoot that amount of ammo.

I have run into cases where match chambers will not shoot a lot of reloads, but that was case problem, not a lead problem. Not Glock, different brand.

Technically, a gen 4 barrel is fine to use in a gen 3 but not the other way around. The only difference is the cut out for the larger dual recoil spring on the gen 4’s. In reality, I’ve never come across someone that’s run a gen 3 barrel in a gen 4 with issue.
As for the benefits, it only depends on you as the shooter. You won’t see dramatic gains with a match barrel if that’s what you’re asking.
accuracy is not limited to the barrel.
This Thread is on Barrels...... Nobody stated that accuracy was limited to the barrel. Just that one design is inherently more accurate due to its design on rifling. Usually the reason why people swap out Glock barrels and most likely why the OP started this thread.
did you shot a gen 1-4 and gen 5 aside to prove your point? not the marketing selling point ...
I’ve swapped Gen 3/4&5 G19 Barrels with success. I don’t shoot pistols for pin point accuracy. More of a hit target and move type competition shooter. All 3 Barrel Gens printed where my hands pointed them towards and cycled reliably. If I ever find the time to bubba up some pistol accuracy setup and record data I will be sure to report back my findings.
from my research gen 1-5 g19 use the same locking lug, as well as g17 gen 5. g26 size also use this lug pattern. Gen 5 g34 likely uses the same pattern but I have not researched this. the difference in recoil spring cutout sizes is on the slide end with gen 1-3 being smaller than gen 4&5.
