I have owned many glock since I started shooting. 19/17/26/27/29/23/22 etc.

Out of all those pistols the 19 was my favorite. Now I am started a Glock 19 Collection. So far I have the Gen 4 in FDE and Black. Gen 3 Threaded, OD and Regular are next.

Anyone else have a hard on for glock 19's?

I liked my 23 but I rarely carried it. I found it too big for times I couldn't carry a full size and, when I could carry it, I might as well be carrying a full size.

You must have teeny lady hands ;)

Can't say I much like any pistol with the barrel sticking past the slide like a circ....Is this where the hardon reference comes from?

Assuming you are replying to me, I am not sure you understood my post. It was too big to concealed carry without printing, not too big for my hands.

Naw, bud; I was razzing the op a bit since he seemed to want some love ;)

Im new to shooting, but I bought a gen4 17 and a gen3 19...I have shot a 17, but have not been able to shoot the 19 yet. My last range probabtion shoot is later today, if I pass I will get my LATT within a few weeks, then I will be able to compare them....

I will say that originally I wanted the 19, but the store at my range didnt have any so I bought the 17.....Just playing with them in my house I now realize that the 19 I wanted first doesn't seem to be the one that fits my hand better, and that will probably end up also making the 17 not only a better fit for me but a better shot for me...The 19 is just a little small feeling for my hand, I think I will have to undercut the trigger guard so I can get my hand a little higher up on the gun...

The Glock 19 is my favorite pistol, the (prohib) Glock 26 is my second favorite.

Of all the handguns I have (and I have quite a few) the Glock 19 seems to shoot the best, for me. Better than my SIGs, Colts, Walthers, Smith & Wessons... not that any of those are about to be liquidated as a result. Variety, after all, is the spice of life!

I have carried a Glock 22 (which sucked) and hated Glocks for many years as a result. The Glock 23 is way better, and with a .357 SIG barrel, better still. But for every day practice and shot placement, the Glock 19 is very hard to beat. I have every Generation of them, and have no favorite. They are really cool in .380 or .22. The .380 (IGB barrel) is shockingly accurate at 25 meters, and shoots like a .22...

For our American friend: the Glock 42 compares very favorably with the Colt Mustang, which I found to be one of the smallest usable .380 pistols. I had the chance recently to compare my Mustang Pocketlite to the newest, littlest Glock. In his shoes, I wouldn't hesitate to carry the Glock 42 -- easier shooting, more accurate, and extremely compact. It beats the Colt Mustang, and that's quite a feat.

But for us plebes with no carry prospects, I'd say the Glock 19 is about the best value for dollar that I've seen.

I like the G19.
