Glock 19 where to find?

Questar doesn't stock them. If you waiting for it to show stock on the Questar website, be prepared to wait an extremely long time. Once every year or two they get a big shipment of GLOCK stuff in and there are 2-6 GLOCK 19s, 2-6 GLOCK 26s, etc. showing in stock on the website. The 9mm models all sell out within a day or so when that happens, but that is not how their system is set up. If you want one you are supposed to order it, tell them what kind of barrel you want, and about 3 months later it will show up in the mail.

You have to remember, GLOCK 19's are one of the firearms that are like "crack" for the masses (in Canada anyway). There is never going to be anywhere that has them in stock for more than a day or two.

The other place that we used to have for compact GLOCKs was Sporteque, but they are out of the firearms business now due to legal issues.

Those two, Questar and Sporteque, where the only places selling GLOCK compacts on a regular basis... at all. Dlask had a shipment of them.... I think that was last year. They all sell out right away. Now there is IRUNGUNS... if they show any on their website they will be sold out right away as well...

The point is... you have to order it. You will not "find" one anywhere, at least not for long.

Pardon my ignorance, im new to Glock world, got a G26 month ago, what makes the 19 so desirable.
Paid $800 for my almost new G26 with 3 mags

That it a great price!
You won't find similar price for a G19 anywhere else

Yah, no kidding that is tempting (even though I have an OD one, a black one, and a G23 already! What on earth would I need another one for!)

It must be that people still haven't warmed up to IRUNGUNS as much as some of the "old faithful" site sponsors. It is like 3/4 the normal price in Canada, and they say they have 4 of them on this side of the border already. Not for long I think (... following the logic of my above post!)

It's one of those "sweet spot" handguns that, while it may not be the perfect pistol for everybody... it strikes a very appealing balance between a number of the factors... feel, calibre, felt recoil, size, grip, looks, price, reliability, accuracy, parts availability, etc.

Alot of people, like me, really like the feel of them compared to the other GLOCKS. For alot of people, the bigger ones (17/22/31/37... and of course 20/21 and others) feel big, the small ones (26/27/30/36) feel small. The 19 is the "Goldilocks". The GLOCK 23/32 of course feels exactly the same... until you fire it.

Great all-around pistol.

Good, cheap and fast. Pick two. It takes time to get stuff over the border. Most people don't like to wait. It seems most firearms purchases are impulse buys.

If your buying from irunguns, don't forget to factor in the exchange rate. I bought a G17 thinking that a canadian website would be in canadian funds. Turned out to be only slightly cheaper than buying directly from a canadian dealer.

How?

The Canadian dollar is .97, .03 cents below parity... So if i run guns has a g19 for $760 us, that would only be $782.80 after the exchange rate. That is still much cheaper than any G19's I have seen on site sponsors or even the ee!

The price for the G19 shown on Irunguns seems like a 'smokin' deal. However, the G19 on their site is a Gen 3 gun. Also, the photo of the G19 shows a standard G19 barrel. Unless I am missing something, if this is the case, a new barrel will be required to take the gun from prohibited to restricted. So the price of a new barrel needs to be included.

Also, Irunguns state on their website that they charge $10.00 per mag to pin them, another $30.00.

If you factor in the exchange rate, a new barrel, pinning of the mags, you are paying a close to what Dlask, etc. were charging tor a new Gen 4 gun with new barrel and 10 round mags. Plus a wait of a month or more wait for paper work.

"Zee fine print" always gets us!

According to the website, it includes the after market barrel. Also, gen 3 only comes with 2 mags, and unless they've changed it, I run guns doesn't charge for pinning.

I understand wanting to support Canadian retailers, but be sure of your facts before you beat up on the company selling the guns at half price. They're a good thing for keeping prices lower at other retailers.

The G19 Gen 3 on their website already has a Lone Wolf 107mm compliant barrel. It says they have 3 available in Canada for $760. Gen 3's only come with 2 mags. I paid $800 for a Gen 4 with IGB barrel and 3 mags so the price is ok but not great.

Irunguns.CA prices are in US dollars, you gotta add $100 more on top of whatever is advertised there. Don't ask how I know that.
So the prices end up being as anywhere else.

G19 is one of the few guns that don't look completely ridiculous with the idiotic 107mm required to be legal. Walther P99 is another that just sticks out 'a little bit'.

I also find the G19 fits me better than G17.
