First off I'd like to know what people think of it? Does the longer barrel cause any reliability issues? How are the recoil characteristics compaired to their full sized counterparts? Who stocks these pistols besides Questar? Much thanks!

I have a gen3 from Questar... It shoots like a dream, the lone wolf barrels are nice, chamber is a bit tight but it's fine with factory ammo

I have one of the gen 4's from Dlask (deadzombies). Haven't had time and weather to shoot much, but have run a few mags through it just to make sure it functions properly. The extra few mm's on the barrel make no difference to anything but the looks. Recoil is a bit snappier than a 17, but the smaller grip on the 19 fits my hands better so it is a wash for me.

Dunno about the longer barrel (I'm a 12-6er), but its my favorite Glock. Fits my hands perfectly. DLASK(DeadZombies) has a great deal on them.

This was my first Glock. I got it from Dlask. It just feels so good in my hand and it points well for me. I hadn't been impressed by earlier gens and models but when I got this I was like "WoW". I liked it so much I went and bought a 21 too.

$825 from Dlask is the cheapest I've seen in a G19 for awhile. The only thing I don't like about it is the Lone Wolf logo on the barrel and it's asicqlly personal preference. But, as in a thread here, someone removed it and it looks pretty good.

Just wondering if anyone owns both a G19 & a Sig p239 and can give any info on which they like better and why. Other than the ugly wolf on the barrel, the Gen 4 G19 seems to have great reviews. Any info is appreciated, PM me if you like.

I own both but haven't had a chance to shoot either of them yet. From handling, the Glock seems to naturally point better for me. Sigs point low unless I practice with it. Glock is more comfortable with a two handed grip, P239 feels slightly cramped but not bad. P239 grips are slippery, Glock Gen4 grip feels secure.

BTW: is there any reason why Dlask/DeadZombies has two business names and websites?

How about the grip size between them? I have big hands, but the 239 is manageable. I think the G19 can fit 10rds while the 239 fits only 8 with a flush mag... A range buddy is getting at G17 so I'm thinking about trying his first before I consider buying a Glock.

I went with a stock Gen4 Glock 17 as most folks who get the 19 bought it for the slighty smaller size I presume. No need to pay a premium for a non stock Glock gun here..

Grip size is definitely different. The P239 is one of the easiest guns I've tried for a one handed grip. The G19 is managable one handed for me just because of the grippy texture. With two hands, the P239 has a lot of overlapping, while with the G19 I'm actually gripping the gun directly with my support hand palm. I wear size Medium gloves.

Balance is also a factor. The P239 feels front/top heavy. If I loosen my grip I'm afraid I'll drop it.

Of course fit and finish are on different levels. Sigs just always look and feel better built than Glocks, irrespective of reliability.

Try your friend's G17, but remember the G19 is slightly different. The below photo (courtesy of militarymorons.com) shows the G19's heel bump and finger grooves are slightly higher. It doesn't look like much, but these differences actually make me grip my G19 higher than a G17 in relation to the bore.
