Anybody reloading for one of these, particularly with .45ACP Brass and a semi-wadcutter 230 grn bullet.
My Tanfoglio Witness 1911 hates these reloads, so thinking of getting a Glock 21 instead

I reload for mine. I've been working through a couple of boxes of the Frontier 200 grn. FPs rather than the wadcutters you have. You should have no problems with them feeding in a G21 though, it will eat anything.

I get good results with the aforementioned bullets over 5.1 grns. of Titegroup with Fed LP primers seated to 1.190" COL. I like the Titegroup because it is economical but you really have to make sure you don't double charge a case when loading (inspect each one visually). The .45ACP will easily hold the extra powder...

SWC's usually don't feed worth beans in any .45 even with a proper taper crimp. Too many squarish edges to get hung up.
Chamfering the feed ramp might help. Essentially you're extending it about half way up the sides of the aft end of the chamber.
The FP's Max Power speaks about prefer it too, but they'll feed much better than any SWC. So will an RN.
If you're not using a taper crimp, you should be with any bullet. That alone will fix a lot of feeding issues with a .45. It doesn't need to be a huge crimp though.
