Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well! So since range trips with my wife always seemed to result in me losing my glock 22 for the whole time, I broke down and got her her own. After the first outing with it we discovered it has a New York 1 trigger. Neither of us like it so it has to be changed. Is it just the trigger spring and connector that need to be changed?
Thanks for any help

It's just the trigger spring that has to be changed to a standard one.

My buddy had a Gen 3 and all we did was take the NY trigger 'spring' (plastic doodad) out and added the standard coil spring. If it's different for Gen 4 and 5, I'm not sure, but I doubt it.

Another option is keep the NY1 Spring and add a 3.5 lb connector. It gives you a 6 lb trigger pull that is less mushy than stock with a robust reset.

Your connector should have a mark or marks on it to indicate it's model. You may or may not have the connector that you want. If you do a search on 'Glock connectors' you'll get the whole story.

Generally, Nordic Marksman is a good source for OEM Glock parts. At the moment many parts are showing as back-ordered, but I'd still recommend talking to them.

Polish up your connector, trigger bar(rear and nub that contacts the firing pin plunger) and firing pin plunger with some flitz wh n you have it apart. If you are looking for a spring I may have one somewhere that I could send your way.

In case anyone ever has my same issue, I figure I should update this post. So I took the advice above from Gundoggy and Slanto and installed a 3.5lb connector. This was absolutely the best option, the trigger now feels great. I'd say it's even better than my factory trigger on my g22. So thanks again for the advice guys, it was spot on!
