Can anyone give me any feedback on this thing? I already have a G17, but I just checked a magazine and realized that they offer the pistol in .380 Auto. As I have an SMG in the same (somewhat rare) chambering the idea of a modern full-size pistol is intriguing.

Can anyone give me a personal analysis? Is the gun too large for such a small round? Prices? Availability? Options for belt-fed?

Would be a real pussy cat, recoil wise...
With a 102MM barrel, the only way you'll ever own one would be to see if
Questar can arrange an import and 'rebarrel' to at least 106MM...
I would suggest you contact them and see if it's possible.
(I would also suggest that you give us a follow-up in this thread!)

102MM barrel,

Arrgghhh! Crap. I didn't even check until you mentioned it. My bad. The rebarreling seems like an awful lot of work for the priviledge of shooting .380 out of a Glock. Never mind the expense. The picture in the magazine was a 3/4 view, and I didn't realize the G25 was a 'compact' model.

That's cause no one wants a .380 when they can have the same gun in 9mm or .40...

Actually, it is supposedly because of import restrictions. That's what it said in the "Gun Digest book of the Glock".

From what I've read, most pistols that chamber .380acp is meant for CCW. Hence why they don't have a full size model from Glock. As to why they aren't allowed to export to the US is beyond me.

Because of their caliber they do not get enough import points for normal importation
looks like I was right...

are .38 and .380 the same thing?
.380 is 9x17 while 9mm Luger/Parabellum is 9x19 (the later number being a langth of the case).

.38 special is a .357 calibre and can be used in .357mag revolvers.

The only difference between the G25 and it's 9mm brother, is the locking surface of the barrel at the forward section of the slide. Instead of a 90 degree cut, it's a 45 degree ramp.
