GLock 35 or Sig 226 .40?

Hi,
I'm trying to decide which of these two pistols to buy (GLock35 or sig 226 .40) This will be my first pistol, and since I live in CAnada it is not possible for me to shoot both before I buy. I know everyone has there own preference between glock and sig, but if you've fired either of these two pistols, especially the Glock 35, your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
Ah yes, one more thing, I intend to get a 9mm barrel for which ever pistol I choose so I can also shoot cheap 9mms...

With the glock you can't just change the barrel, you need a different ejector.

FWIW, i would get a G35 for 40SW and a G17 or P226 for 9mm.

I'm a huge fan of the Glock 22 .40 cal... put about 25,000 rounds plus thru one I shoot. That said.... my choice here would be for the Sig between that and the G35. I like your suggestion of getting a G17 or P226 for the 9mm, too. ;)
 
My suggestion is get a stainless Sig226 in 40S&W...the extra mass soaks up the
recoil and get a Glock34 (9MM)...one of the sweetest units in 9MM, and it already comes with the 3.5LB trigger and extended mag release!

I like the kick, and want to get into IPSC shooting. I do intend on getting a
9mm barrel to convert the .40 into 9mm so I can practice for cheap.
 
Glock 35 all the way. BTW my buddy has a 9 mm conversion barrel for his 35 and I think he has few reliability problems. Musky is right though, to do it proper.
 
Well,
I know a guy who's selling his glock 35 with a lone wolf 9mm barrel for converting to cheaper ammo for $950. This sound like a good deal?

My other option is to snag a used Sig 226 .40 for $700 and get a 9mm barrel later....

What do you guys think I should go with? Which is the better deal?
