Hi all I am interested in this model glock but cast my own bullets so would want to shoot lead. Does anyone know who might have aftermarket barrels for sale for this model? Thanks.

I've run a few hundred of my Lee tumble lube 200gr SWC through mine and noted no leading whatsoever. That being said they don't feed great. Once my 1911 is fixed I'm blowing them off and going back to round nose. THAT being said, I have also been buying cam pro bullets for it.

I wonder if this lead make Glock go boom business is more of a bogeyman than anything else, or perhaps more of a factor in 9mm. 45 auto is a pretty low pressure round to begin with

Now those lee tumble lube 9mm buggers lead up my 1911 like crazy. Glad I got that Lewis lead remover!

The theme of that ramble is go buy the Glock. Wanstalls has it on for a stupid low price, and worry about lead and barrels and stuff later.

It's a ###y gun. And for a Glock that is saying much!

Thanks for the tip on Wanstalls will be calling them tomorrow really good price 200$ less than some places! I have been starting to powder coat my boolits so that might be the ticket if I get leading.

You can shoot lead out of polygonal rifled barrels without it going KABOOM on you. You just need to be more diligent when it comes to cleaning the barrel to avoid excess lead buildup. If you powdercoat, you're ahead of the game.

The nice people at Lone Wolf make replacement barrels for Glocks. Pretty good ones too. A few years ago I built a complete upper using their parts including a longer barrel to fit on my G21. My upper has a barrel just a hint over 5". I'm not sure about the barrel length in the new G41 but that is easy enough to find out. Then go to Lone Wolf....

KKM precision I just ordered a custom length glock 19 barrel to meet Canadian 105mm law. They also make 41 barrels and can make any length you want.

I looked at lone wolf but I'm not a fan if the stupid wolf cartoon on the top of their barrels. I've also been told buy the gun smith company I am using to build my slide and other parts that KKM is a better barrel.

No, I didn't like that logo either when I saw it. If an aftermarket part is any good, you'll give the company plenty of free advertising. It shouldn't be on the product...

OP - I hope you got in on that deal. If I wasn't trying hard to quell my compulsive nature I'd buy it myself, just because its an amazing deal. ...I'm still resisting that JR Carbine they've got. Keep trying to convince myself that I wouldn't feel like a complete twunk with a muddy girl gun lol

Good going.

But do shoot it stock before buying a barrel and see how it goes. I know the temptation of easy upgrades all too well and, like I said, after a few hundred rounds of cast through mine I could not see a hint of lead. I can't speak to accuracy, as I was just blasting steel, but I was hitting them.
