Glock 42

Why would you want a Glock in 380 ACP anyways?

+1

Since the most compact Glocks in 9mm aren't much bigger why go with a pistol in an inferior ctg?

It's cute & that's about it.

Although I own & shoot .380 ACP, if I lived where CCW was allowed & carried my first choice wouldn't be a pistol in .380 ACP.

Maybe Glock is looking at the demographics and sees all the elderly people as a market for a softer shooting self defense gun.
I'd be sureprised if it doesn't morph into a 9mm at some point just to satisfy the younger people... :)

Remington has the new R51 (not to be confused with the old one) in 9mm for a reasonable price. There is supposed to be a threaded barrel version that might just make the length limit.

Anyone else find it kinda funny that 9mm guys comments about the 380 are pretty much the same as 45 guys comments about the 9mm.

It'll be interesting. I think it should satisfy a lot of people who carry in the US that didn't carry a 19/26 because of the thickness of the grip. I'm thinking women mostly as it is much more difficult to carry thicker guns for them.

I do agree though, 9mm would have been the better choice. Seriously. Its really not that much shorter to justify the doing as far as I can see. we'll see what the market says in a few years. Good to see the US factory is working.
