Still here.
I went back a ways and didn't see this one posted, well it's new to me anyway. A bit too much of the silly Austrian shenanigans perhaps, enough already, Franz, but anyway a nearly 18 minute look at the soon to be released new Glock. Which I'm having an almighty hard time not calling the Glock .22, did it twice yesterday.

G 44 blows up

Well now, after watching the video at the link below here I may be holding off on buying a G44 unless and until I hear more, supposing the govmint will allow me to buy one at all after whatever ban they have upcoming.

I have to wonder though if the problem wasn't with a squib round that remained in the barrel. It would help if there actually was audio and my suspicious mind suggests to me that perhaps that's why there isn't any, since it would make the incident a commonplace carelessness on the part of the shooter.

Meh I have an advantage arms kit . Works really well no need for a new pistol . Also this gsg 1911 pistols are a ton of fun . Just bring someone to load mags . 22 pistols are a blast . And if you already own a glock I’d just get the AA kit .

If these are actually made by Glock (and not contracted to someone else like the Sigs and Walthers etc), not only is the gun a disappointment for what it is, it's a disappointment for how it's built.

I have seen a couple reviews now (including plinkster's) that show the G44 having issues shooting common 36gr bulk pack ammo, lots of stoppages.

The 44 looks good, but the usual culprit is .22lr. Just seems to be the nature of the beast when it comes to .22lr. Although not economical, I'd like to see some quality Eley ran through it.

Cross training. I want a Glock, a dedicated one.

This is it, I own several .22LR pistols and only my Ruger Mark 2 isn't completely finicky about ammo. And as I always add, a finicky AKA a picky eater pistol provides lots of experience in various kinds of failures to fire: running ordinary bulk ammo my S&W M&P 22 does every kind of failing you could possibly ask for, short of falling apart or coming to pieces in your hand.

Exactly. Same frame different slide . Which means same controls trigger etc as your full size just a 22 slide on it . If you’ve done any trigger work to your full size it’s exactly the same

It's a dilemma for me on whether I should get one or not, I love my Glocks and it is a real Glock, not a kit, and the fact that it is made to dry fire is a huge selling point for a rimfire and kudos to Glock for designing it specifically for dry fire training. My dilemma comes from the fact that I have a G19 frame that I run a full time Advantage Arms G19 kit on( it's registered as a .22) and it has been ridiculously dependable. I will have to handle the new G44 and see how much it weighs compared to the AA, quite honestly the AA kit is super light so not exactly G19 weight, probably the first thing everyone mentions when they shoot it

Had my hands on Glock's new G44 at the SHOT SHOW. (Las Vegas baby!)

Its basically a G19 frame with a polymer steel reinforced slide. Glock proprietary magazine too. Personally, I liked it and it could be a real great plinker. Would I use it for "hanging clay" matches or steel plate matches? Maybe.....

Would I employ it for 25 yard target matches? No. My S&W 41 would cream it. But I still like it.....
