and send test

Ahh, the fated "Send Test". That's where they take the gun, stick it in a box, ship it via Canada Post Express to several locations across Canada, and mark "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" on it in big letters.

If it survives being left on more than 5 doorsteps without ever been stolen, it passes the first phase.

If it isn't -lost- by the dumbass mail sorting facility, it passes the second phase.

If it's not beaten to absolute #### and bent in two, then it passes the "Send Test" with flying colours!!

Very few pistols live to recieve this honour.

Geez, and I though my box stock Glock G22 was doing well with just shooting over 25,000 rounds without a hic-cup...:p

Wonder how a run-of-the-mill Taurus pistol would do?

I actually came home one afternoon to find a box containing a second-hand Ruger Mark I on my doorstep, inside the porch. The police were going to do me a favor and deliver it to me, but I wasn't home and they got an emergency call right then. Good thing I lived in the country... One of the couriers used to leave guns and ammo on our shop and office front doorstep if he arrived at lunchtime. That wasn't too bad, because we could see him from our house. Poor dumb idiot didn't even know that the boxes contained guns and ammo!!!

hey, you Beretta guys somehow forgot to post the link to the Beretta being thrown out of an airplane, put in a bucket of sand, left in a sal####er drenched sock for a week, shot bya .22, dragged on a rope behind a car etc.

I'm sure it was just an oversight, or maybe the site code hiccuped, and didn't show the link. Obviously, there is no doubt

Just letting you Beretta guys know, the link didn't show up. Because I'm such a ncie guy. You know. :)

Very cool. Too bad you could only get the "long slide" 5" version up here [if anyone is even importing them] unless you want to put a "stick out" barrel on the 4" frame version...
4 in 24/7 is actually 106mm, no need for long slide!!! :)

Geez, go figure... 4" = 106mm at Taurus. [When 4" = 101.6mm everywhere else...] So, then who in Canada is importing the 24/7 and how much are they? :D

I handled one at shooters choice last summer, I thik it was $850 (may not been a PRO model, as I don't think they're out just yet)

I'd say any gun store that deal with R. Nickols (sp?) can get one for you :)

For $850 I can get a Glock 22... :p

yeah but you already have one LOL

But it's got over 25,000 rounds thru it without a hic-cup... must be time for a new one. And the Taurus video says it's got no external safety... :p

All I can say to Mr glock abuser is that I wish I had his kind of money to be able to screw up a gun like that. I fail to see his point. Maybe if he parted his hair.......;)
