Glock Conversion Barrels

Hey guys,

just wondering if the aftermarket calibre conversion barrels are worth the cost. I understand that if I "convert" my 40 S&W to 9mm I will have to buy 9mm mags. Just wondering, from a cost point, am I just better off buying a new gun.

Oh really? Did not know that. I actually have a Glock 22. So it would totally be worth it for me then. It's looks like the conversion barrels are about $250.

Any suggestions of a good brand of aftermarket barrel and a good dealer to order from??

This. I have a Lone Wolf threaded 40 to 9 conversion barrel. I shoot the 9 out of 40 mags and never had any failure of any kind in a couple of hundred rounds fired. I like it, as it's a cheap and reliable way to shoot 9mm, but if money were no object, I'd just have another pistol in the alternate calibre.
 
cowboy and ammosource as far as I know. they fly off the shelf like hot cake though. I missed last round a few weeks ago and only got the one for my MP40. waiting for the next batch...

Conversion barrels come up on the EE quite frequently.

That's how I got the .40 to 9mm conversion barrel for my G22. :cool:

sorry. didn't realize OP was asking lone wolf(must have been day dreaming then), I was talking about storm lake which is what I have and works great. the two dealers/sponsors I mentioned are also for storm lake, not for lone wolf.

What data/case supports your comment on it's not as good as storm lake? I do have storm lake for my mp40 that works great and waiting for one for my g22.
Then I am also thinking about a threaded barrel for a G30S. Lone wolf seems to be almost $100 cheaper and with lots of good feedback online as well. So I am wondering...
