There is a lot more than 50 Gen1 . Saw one today lolRumors say there were maybe 50 Gen 1s built.
They are really sought after in the US as collector items.
If they are true Gen 1s with the prohib barrel length, your prospective market will be quite limited here in Canada.

They are true Gen1 with prohibited barrel but I can get new 19 barrels in it.
I’m 21 so no prohibited for meIf you have 12(6), and you really need a pair of Gen 1 G19s, then definitely get the prohib barrel. You can always switch them out when you sell it and get them reclassified as restricted.
I would assume an after market or Gen 3-5 barrel works in a Gen1? Really no idea.
I think $900- $1200 for the pair is a really fair price since they are prohibs.
Didn’t want to take picture since I didn’t buy them yet. Don’t usually ask prohibited owner about picture since sometime they aren’t into picture of their collection. He had an 25 year anniversary Glock 17, an glock practice pistol G22P, G36, SF stuff,RTF, compensated and like All the special ones as well.I'd love to see some pictures of them.
I’m a 21 so no prohibited for me. I can get them without barrels for 800 lol
If only I had my prohit.... just mm of difference but it makes the world lol. I mean gunny have an gen1 I thinkIt’s a good first world problem to have! You have to weigh the collector value of the Gen1 17 vs. the improvements of the later guns.
If the prices are similar ( due to perceived collectibility), I would still get the later Gens. If you get the 17 for under $500, then go for it!
Were you referring to me about owning a Gen 1? No, I don’t have one but I do have a full Gen2 19.

How long ago? Should call the shopMy next door neighbor is a great guy and a good friend,, I would say a great friend, but he sold his gen 1 17 that he had never shot to our local gun store for $400 and told me about it the next day
If he had mentioned it to me AT ALL, I would have owned a gen 1 lol
His exact statement was " Hey, you like Glocks don't you? I had one I bought in the 80's,,, never shot it, they gave me $400for it!"
He was quite happy with the $400 lol
