Anyone pickup, hold and feel any of the new generation 4 glocks? It features new style texturing on the grip frame, and a serration pattern on the rear of the slide.
I held one yesterday and found two things I didn't like about it, or at least would take some time getting use to compared to my G3:
1.) Grip frame is now textured with mirco-like serration patterns that felt very sharp in my hand. I didn't really like it after holding for 30 seconds as it felt sharp and tac-like on my skin - I couldn't imagine a whole afternoon with it. Good thing is it will likely grab your clothes, can be used as sandpaper if in a bind, and it's probably very compatible with velcro products.
2.) Again, the seration shark like teeth are also now found on the finger part of the grip too.. when you're squeezing the pistol shooting it I can't see this being very comfortable. General handling might be fine, but not shooting unless you start using an old pair of garden gloves with it too
The new pattern on the slide was slightly better to grip and pull back, but looks a little odd in it's half-moon circular appearence.
Anyone else have feedback on the new G4?
