I am about to order a Gen3 21, but I have 2 choices, one place has the standard 21 for $741 and the other places had the C (compensated) for $799. Im trying to decide if its worth going with the compensated model or not

Id like to hear opinions from those who have shot both. Price isnt an issue, I just hear that the compensated model doesnt like some ammo, and the barrel has a weaker life because of the ports cut into it, also some people dont like the ports shooting up into their face/eyes

Id be willing to give it a shot if its worth it, and isnt going to blow up after 1000 rounds or be really picky with ammo

At my range I shoot a regular gen3 21 and I love it personally thats why I have to buy one

Oh well Im too impatient to wait for opinions, so I just went ahead and ordered the 21C, got a spare non compensated barrel, so I guess I will find out the difference when I get them.

And noticably less muzzle flip?

I would say yes, I have shot the range 21 a few times there using the same ammo, and it seems to flip more. If Canam had a regular gen3 21 I probably would have bought the it, but they didn't so I just grabbed the 21C they had in stock...So far no regrets, I have a regular barrel on the way, so I will be able to do a back to back comparison in the near future...
