Quick question.
Just received my glock 17 I purchased off the EE here. Love it, it's great. I had a mag that I acquired else where that I THOUGHT was a gen 3 mag and would work with the gun no problem.
Now when the gun arrived I realized they're SLIGHTLY different.
Both fit into the gun no problem and cycle the dummy rounds I have NO problem. No jams or anything. But before I put a live round in it, I want to be sure the mag I acquired will work.
Major differences are around the top of the mag. The bases and dimensions are identical. They both even say "Glock 3208" on the bottom. I don't know what the number means.

If it cycles a dummy round, it will cycle a real round. I beleive the only mags that wont work with different types of glocks is the Gen4. You can't use old mags in a gen4 glock if you have the mag release on the right (switched) side of the gun because there are no notches on that side of the older mags.

I wouldn't worry about what you have here.

If I were you, I wouldn't chance it. I'd get brand new pinned Gen 4 mags right away. You can never be too careful.

;)

Just to fend off the inevitable flamewar, I'm kidding. Your mags are just fine. Pinned mags rock though.

Yeah, I'm very seriously considering getting a few pinned mags. I'm watching the EE on here as I can't find anyone locally who has the 17/10 mags for sale.

EDIT* Actually, this is probably the best place to ask. Will glock mags clear the border, or are they restricted to order? They're SO cheap from the states, and nearly twice the price from up here.

Glock mags are restricted for export from the US....anyone sending them would be required to have the appropriate paperwork.

On the other issue....you really don't need to worry about the mags....just run them through your gun.

Yeah just did some further research and found that..
So who here in canada has the 17/10 round mags?
And who in Canada stocks the uplula mag loader!? The glock loader is much easier one the fingers...but I'd still love an uplula

Does Glock make 17/10 mags? or does it have to be aftermarket companies like KCI? Anyone have any info on KCI first hand, I'm read mixed reviews from google.

No company makes 17/10 mags. They make 17 or 10 round mags. The 17/10 mags are 17 round mags pinned by someone to make them 17/10 for our grand country.

A few US states like California also restrict mags to 10 rounds, I wonder if you can pin them like we do or not?
