Glock pinned magazine assembly

I'm having a hard time assembling a Glock 17 magazine. The issue lies with the pin that prevents more than 10 rounds to be inserted into the magazine.

I cannot get the follower past the pin (as the pin is designed to prevent exactly this).

I am SURE that someone else has had this problem and knows what I am banging on about. I tried using the search, but to no avail.

Help?

Drill out the pin...

When your finished cleaning them, repin them using a standard rivet gun and countersunk rivets

I actually did some mag riveting this afternoon and found it to be best to insert the follower with the spring before riveting, if that helps...

or are you just having problem reassembling your mag after cleaning? If so, try to tilt the follower with a flat screwdriver to get past the pin and put everything in place

Just some FYI on possessing unpinned mag bodies, even if for cleaning.

The guy above was importing but just be aware that a unpinned mag body has been determined to be a prohibited device even if it cant hold any rounds.

Not that you will have issues, just that it is possible.

I unpin my mags all the time for cleaning... I have no other option...
