I'm about to order a bevelled mag well for my 21 from Glockmiester but now i'm wondering if i'll need mag base pads to ad a bit of extra length to the mags to seat them ? I was searching for synthetic slide on or stick on base pads but all i can find are ones that ad extra capacity to the magazines , which i don't want . First off , will i actually need base pads in order to seat the mags with the bevelled mag well installed and if i do , where do i get them ?

I went though all this when I used a g21 .
The magwell solved some problems and created others .
It looked cool and made mag changes quicker ? I never actually timed myself before and after mind you .but...
The gun is no longer production legal .
It would work alot better if the mags had a weighted basepad ( which you can't buy because nobody makes it for a large frame )
You can use the stock mag's but they are a little shorter than the magwell so you really have to make sure it's in there and locked . Longer would work better but good luck with that .
The other thing I noticed is the magwell is rigid aluminum but the grip is plastic . Look at the gun when you grip it and watch the grip flex . When the magwell is used it eliminates that flex . I found it held up the release of the magazines ( slow drop ) .
Ultimately , I removed all the whiz bang parts and returned it to stock .
