Since so many of my friends at the club and good members here are so into Glock shooting, i decided to give it another try, i just bought a Glock 17L Longslide ported 6 inch+ barrel...
According to many reviews i read, this longer one is a lot easier to shoot and very accurate, sure, i will have the spring and connector change in this new one...
My other Glock 17 sold to a friend at the club... Could this Longslide 17L salvage my faith in them... We will see... JP.
 
If you cant group with a 17 then a 17L wont help :( But good news! its all you and we can rebuild you ;)

Trick with a glock trigger is don't stage it, take up the slack first and when ready follow through.

According to the reviews, this one is a lot less snappier, and the increase velocity is a + ... I guess by shooting it, i will see if the difference is noticeable, i will still have access to my previous 17 so it will be easy to compare... JP.
 
You only live once..... Buy whatever guns you want Caramel ;) and don't give a #### about what others think about it.

If a G17L make you happy then go for it and try it.
 
The trigger is the same on both models. You have many Glocks that you don't like and bought another... You should gave upgraded the trigger on what you currently have.
 
Not sure why you would get another one man? I get that its your choice but if the other ones didn't do the job with the same parts this one wont either as noted I would have upgraded the first 17 first and if that didn't work then cut your losses and sell em off. Odd decision making choices? thinking with your wallet perhaps?
 
So you bought three different glock pistols, didn't like them and figure its because they didn't have a long enough slide?

I guess some people have more money than brains.

Have to go with the many reviews of the Longside available, those are used for competition du to the reduced muzzle flip and the extra velocity ( i am quoting here)... JP.
 
Just learned that the 17L come standard with the 3.5 pounds connector and spring, putting the trigger weight between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds... One less thing to take care off... JP.

Is a 9mm right.....? I wouldn't be too concerned with muzzle flip. I would blame more concerned with working my fundamentals.

I personally can't get past how that thing looks. 4 Glocks now?

Dont seem to have much trouble with my fundamentals and my 3.5 inch groups at 20 yards with my Les Baer, i just think it is a harder pistol to shoot, do i have to make some efforts, i guess so, i hate failure, and this Glock thing even if we made fun of it, is not something, i accept... JP.
