Hello all,
Been thinking about this recently, the glock RTF2 with fish gill slide will be a collectable at some point? I know they didnt make them for too long and i don't think we'll ever see the fish gills again. Do you think these will become a collectors item later in the future? Your thoughts?

Very true, and i believe that some law enforcement still have issued rtf2 with the fish gills, not 100% sure about that though

There will always be people who will collect anything, even Glocks.

So yeah, a 17RTF may be collectible for somebody out there, but will there be a big demand for it, resulting in substantial increase in value, like other collectibles? Not likely, IMHO.

The only real collectible Glocks are the Anniversary Editions such as the 20th and 25th Anniversary Glocks. There was an engraved Glock 17 issued in a glass presentation case with the Glock knife and entrenching tool. It was issued to commemorate Operation Desert Storm and I believe that only 100 were made. I also agree with fenceline that a Gen 1 would be a nice piece to get your hands on. I got hold of a very early unfired new in the tupperware box Glock 17 Gen 2 with the original 1st edition Glock magazines.
