I'm looking into getting a glock 19 soon and I'm wanting to put a rmr on it.
Now is there anywhere in Canada I can get the slide cut? If not where can I buy a slide that is pre cut.

And no I don't want too replace the rear right

I know tsd systems makes a pre cut slide I just need to find a distributor for them if it comes to that

Brownells will export the OST slide kit (item number for G17:100-008-810WB or G19:100-008-812WB but not the slide on its own. For some reason Brownells are listed as the manufacturer for the kit whereas OST is listed for the bare slide and OST are not a registered manufacturer for export whereas Brownells is.

I got a G19 RMR slide kit not long ago.

The standard answer to ' Can I cut my Glock slide " is NO ! The way Glock heat treats and finishes their slides leaves them extra hard on the surface and makes it a hell ##### to cut. It can be done but it's considered to be a nightmare kind of job so expect to pay accordingly.

Loose the rear sight is the standard choice but you want to keep them to co-witness like the MP9 Core I'm guessing. If the optic is light enough I've seen people glue the mounting base with pretty good results. Drill and tap on a Glock is a PITA but not half as bad as actually cutting it for a low mount so that's a semi viable option.

gl and keep us up to date.

I was at Tac ord this spring when Casey had just completed this.
We talked about the issues with doing it and how and why many smiths screw it up.
Do talk to casey. He can do it!!

I was looking at this too. I went ahead and ordered a mount that replaces the rear sight and bought a red dot sight. Should have it in about 2-3 weeks :)
