I remember a thread quite some time ago, that had a new glock accessory that installed to the end (front) of the gun, and acts to stop accidental release of the slide in combat situations. Does anyone know where I might find this product? CGN search gave me niltch, thanks.

Ahh man I love you guys, never disappoint. Thats the one - thanks.

---> now for my plan.. tell me what you think. I'm getting a restricted glock 19, with a 106mm bar-sto barrel, that sticks out an extra 4mm than that of the standard barrel. Now, if I install this contraption on the glock, over the "overhanging" barrel, it'll look flush. Will this work? I've considered the fact that the barrel moves when the slide is moved back, so will I have to drill out a "track" of some sort for it to move freely? What other problems might I run into doing this? Any suggestions would be great (aside from "don't ruin a perfectly good glock, get a g17" - I've heard it before). Thanks again.

I think your biggest problem with be finding a G19 with rails on it. I dont think there are any 3rd gen G19s in Canada, just 2nd Gen and they didnt have the rails if I recall.

But....I may be wrong too, I am sure someone else will correct me if I am.

The key part is if there are any in our country. The U.S. doesn't really help much unless he is importing the whole thing.

Maybe he's buying one from Questar?

I just checked out their website and I see that they are importing them with 106mm Barsto barrels for $1099. Thats a pretty sweet arrangement, I hope he will post pics and provide feedback on the G19 with the standoff installed.

My understanding is that Glock is producing some w/ the extended barrel that Questar is able to buy as restricted G19's.

GUNN - This is a fantastic idea! Just brilliant. The only problem I have w/ these "lengthened barrel" guns is that they usually don't look as nice (to me) but this idea seems to solve that issue. Well done!:)

Thanks, thats what I'm hoping for. The gun btw, is a third gen with the rail, so it shouldn't be an issue. And as for intallation, I think that it will function right out of the box with no mods - but I'll keep you posted.

I've kind of been wondering about these things myself as I saw the GG&G was making them a couple years ago (too lazy to see if they still are). Let us know how it works out for you.

I wonder if the change in the geometry of a lengthened barrel would cause interference with the inside top edge of the barrel hole in the CQB mount when the barrel tilts down while cycling? I popped over to this Glock animation just now to have a look and refresh my memory...it's hard to say for sure. An extra 4mm probably wouldn't make much difference and you could probably dremel away the inside of the hole if there was an interference problem.

There is LOTS to think about at Questar :)

No Kidding! First it was a G29 I was wanting, now I've changed my mind to a G19! I am also going to inquire about the G32. :p

What a great outfit these guys are! Imagine, their creating a way to get these superb guns to us in spite of our ridiculous governments attempt to prevent it.
