Glock Tungsten Guide Rods

I've tried a tungsten guide rod before and honestly it changed nothing. You're far better off getting an uncaptured guide rod and a bunch of recoil springs so that you can tune your gun to suit different loads.

It's one of those low-risk but low-reward kind of mods. You're not likely to seriously mess up your pistol in any way, but you're better off spending that money on ammo and working on your recoil management.

I have a longer tungsten guide rod that is made for the G34/35 long slide pistols so it is a little heavier than the standard length. It is uncaptured so i can change spring weights and I like it but I can't say I notice the difference that much.

I thought the only real change is to add a bit of weight towards the front of the gun. It should help flatten the gun a bit but isn't different enough to be game changing.

Its not a game changer in anyway. I have to agree with Milofficer spend your money on ammo instead.

It’s like fishing. Fishing lures aren’t meant to catch fish, they’re meant to catch fishermen and their money
