Glock17 Generations

Looking at buying a generation1 glock17..what are the differences between 1 and 3? I searhced but cant find anything...are they not as reliable?

Difference is in the frame and finish...do a search+ and u will find an image of the differences...

What did you search.. plug glock generations into google and I get great hits from the top link you'll find this..
1st generation smooth grip no finger grooves no rails
2nd generation textured grip no finger grooves no rails
3rd generation textured grip finger grooves accessory rails*
*accessory rails are not available on the subcompact Glocks

There should be a 4th... dark/smooth although rougher looking slide that does not mark up as easily.

!st Gen

I never had a Jam with mine caused by ammo. Only once did a piece of dirth flew up and squeezed itself between the slide and the round that was chambering, causing a failure to fire.
